The Land of Confusion

 

As you can see from the above image, it was a busy week for me as I passed two Microsoft certification exams - TS: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Configuring (70-630) and TS: Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Configuring (70-631)

OK, swimming with dolphins in Mexico is not that uncommon of a tourist attraction; my brother did it in Ixtapa about a year ago and he had a blast. This August will be my third trip to Mexico, but it will be my wife's first, so I figured this would be a great time for both of us to have to "dolphin experience". Well, in googling sites in Cancun that offer this, I came across this:

Not only does one get to swim with the dolphins, but they feed and swim with manatees as well, an endangered species! It's expensive at $200 a person (plus whatever they over charge us for the DVD afterwards) but it's an experience I just can't pass up.

 

 

Alright, as many of you might recall, back in September of last year, I made a big announcement that I was going to get control of my weight. I stated that I weighed 298 pounds and that I was commited to dropping down to 220 lbs (100 kg). Well, that idea went to pot. After many failed attempts, mixing in the holiday season, my weight actually shot up to 312 lbs by new years... failure. OK, since Jan 6th, I have been diligent in my diet (a modified form of Atkins) and I can happily say that I have now dropped down to 285 lbs. losing nearly 30% of my excess weight. I am going to keep this up, with my end goal being 220 by the end of the year, with a short-term goal of 255 by the end of July, at which time my wife and I will be spending a week in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Hey, Speedos only come in a few select sizes.

OK, in my opinion, MySpace has become too polluted. It is full of "cam-whores", friend collectors, SPAM, etc. With that, I am going to begin shutting the doors of my MySpace page and transitioning all my information over to Windows Live Spaces. I prefer the UI and it interfaces well with Live Messenger and Live Mail, both of which I use on a daily basis. Plus it has SkyDrive, 5GB of storage space. Hope to see you all here.
